CULTURE FOR ALL: International Mobility, Creative Economy and Entrepreneurship


In the context of "Erasmus for All" (2014-2020), whose objective is to contribute to the modernization and internationalization of higher education through mobility, cooperation and support for political reform, it is essential to balance this goal with purpose Central program "Creative Europe".


The value of the cultural and creative sectors in the performance of different professions and activities is now clearly recognized. These sectors take up emerging as engines of economic growth and have a large potential for entrepreneurship.


The creative economy based on intellectual capital, represents opportunities for individuals, businesses and regions, contributing to the increase of wealth, which in turn boosts economic growth, creates jobs and promotes development. The cultural and creative sectors represent around 4.5% of European GDP and about 3.8% of hand labor, representing 8.5 million people.


Given that the concept of the creative economy encompasses several distinct sectors and linked together, it should be noted that activities will be addressed within the following areas: performing arts, fine arts, cultural and creative industries.


The National Agency for the Management Program of Lifelong Learning (ANPROALV) aims to reconcile the interests of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the national and international level, with the different stakeholders of the cultural and creative sectors.


To reconcile these interests, and goals from the assumption of future EU programs (2014-2012) 'Erasmus for All' and 'Creative Europe', will be an international event with the theme: international mobility, employability and creative economy "where is sought:


1. To contribute to the strengthening of relations between the academies and national professionals in order to enhance the role of research and cooperation as an engine of innovation and knowledge transfer;


2. Encourage Networking among practitioners of cultural and creative industries of the various countries involved, stimulating the creation of strategic partnerships, alliances of knowledge and skills;


3. Identify mechanisms to strengthen the financial capacity of the cultural and creative sectors, especially the SMEs, promoting mobility internships for young people acquire skills, thus spreading the cooperation between HEIs and the area covered by the creative economy;


4. Promote greater intercultural dialogue and cooperation with third countries;


5. Fostering the mobility of those involved in the cultural sector and creative;


6. Identify the role of the Media in Europe for the diffusion and dissemination of national creative industries: music, film and design, architecture and gastronomy, literature, etc..;


7. Flag elements that promote Portugal and its creators and cultural producers;


8. Referencing tools to create a base of scientific content and information on the creative industries in Portugal, facilitating access to culture and creative works;


9. Flag creative cities facing them as opportunities for development and economic growth;

Synergies between the participants will be the starting point for the creation of partnerships and active cooperation in the Erasmus for All and Creative Europe and return with a concrete impact.
